Since it was built, back in 1730, the house obviously must have gone through various updating and renovations, except possibly the loft space.
Most recent renovation was carried out back in early 2000's when the property was modified into a four bedroom accommodation on the first floor and a "weinstube" (wine tasting bar) at the entrance floor and the cellar. Unfortunately this business failed by 2012. When we purchased it in 2017 the most sensible use for the building seemed that it would be residential as before.
The kitchen of the restaurant and the toilets and the oil storage area is converted into a living room, bathroom, kitchen and bedroom, we hope that the property could then be used as a "Mehr generation wohnung" ( multi generation house ) with grandparents living downstairs and the young family with children living in the four bedroomed self-contained accommodation upstairs.
Renovation work was mainly removing the old oil fired boiler system replacing it with a modern gas fired one & getting rid of the toilets and tiled floors and walls and a good touch up outside with the windows being painted white internally and externally.
The photos attached show the property undergoing the changes during 2019.
